New UPDATE on Maitreya Mesh Body Lara 4.1

Based on the feedback we received from so many of you about the 4.0 update, we have:
– Re-installed the minimize function by clicking the logo bar
– Added a “cycle natural hand poses” button to the HUD.
– Added an “ankle lock” to correct the heel on the tiptoe feet for poses that break them.
– Added an optional mini AO HUD, with just the hand poses.
– Fixed an alpha auto-hide error
– Fixed a potential issue with nail polish vs gloves (alpha glitch)

Maitreya Mesh Body Lara 4.0 Update

– The hands are now rigged to the bento skeleton, allowing for finger movement. The classic hands are also still included in the package.
– There is 14 hand poses added to the HUD (Skins & Options page), which can be used in combination with all your model poses and AOs.
– There are 2 new nail shapes added: Stiletto nails and Almond nails, and the option for no nails (if you want to wear Maitreya compatible mesh nails made by other stores).
– The skin textures have been adjusted to fit the new bento hands.

Here is a copy of the notecard included in the pack:

This Mesh body is fitted mesh, which means it will adjust to your shape and you can use the shape sliders to make the mesh body appear how you like it.

Lara comes with an Alpha HUD, which allows you to wear most of your standard sized mesh clothes in the same size or a size up. By toggling specific parts or entire sections off, it is possible to wear most of the mesh clothing currently available.
In the numbered save slots on the alpha page of the HUD you can save specific alpha combinations for your favorite outfits.

The body comes pre-packaged with 10 skin tones from Glam Affair. The skin tones on the HUD are from left to right:
Pearl, Artic, Europa, Asia, America, Jamaica, Exotic, India, Tropic, Africa.
If you have purchased skin appliers for the Maitreya mesh body from your favorite skin stores, you can save those in one of the 5 Save Slots on the HUD. With the color picker you can adjust the skin tone to fit a skin that does not have a designer released applier yet.

With advanced lighting on you can add shine to the body. The shimmer slider allows you to choose the amount of shine you like to add to the skin. This effect can be turned off with the shine on/off button.

The mesh body comes with feet in 3 shapes: flat, medium and high.
The hands are rigged to the bento skeleton, allowing for finger movement. There are hand poses added to the HUD, which can be used with all your modelposes and AOs. There is an additional classic (non bento) version of the hands included. There are 5 nail shape options for the hands, plus the ability to hide the nails completely. And there are 19 nail options for both the toe- and fingernails, including French manicure and colors that range from light to dark.
All options for the hands and feet can be found on the HUD’s ‘skins & options’ page.

There are five neck sizes that are based on avatar body fat and correspond to body fat on the 5 standard sizes: 0, 5, 7, 11 and 24. The neck Fix On/Off toggles a sheath to hide the seam between the mesh body and the avatar head. Ambient Occlusion (in your preferences ‘Graphics’ tab) needs to be off to prevent visible seams. The neck sheath will need to be turned off if the body is worn in combination with a mesh head.

This mesh body can be textured with skins, tattoos and system clothes from your favorite designers, with the use of appliers. You can use Maitreya appliers or Omega appliers to texture they body. For the Omega appliers you will need an additional relay HUD.
There are 3 extra layers on the body. Having two or more of these extra layers visible, may result in alpha glitches. There is a ‘mask mode’ button to change the alpha mode for each of the extra layers. When toggled on, that fixes the glitches. Note that this alpha masking mode will only work well when textures have a sharp, defined alpha.
There is a ‘socks’ layer for the feet and a ‘gloves’ layer for the hands, which can also be activated with appliers. The socks and gloves layers are seamlessly connected to the tattoo and the underwear layer.

The layers can be hidden by touching the little shirt and pants icons that represent each layer on the HUD. If they are colored white, it means the layer is active. If they are colored black it means they are hidden. There is also a button added to the HUD to clean all layers.

In the numbered save slots on the layers page of the HUD you can save outfits applied to the layers.

The mesh body comes with a lingerie applier set by Zaara and a Maitreya mesh bra & panties set in 16 colors, that is customizable by HUD.

There are developer kits to make appliers for skins, nails, clothing and tattoos and a dev kit with alpha auto-hide for fitted mesh, set up at the store, next to the mesh body poster. You can find more info about dev kits at our blog: http://sl-maitreya.blogspot.com/p/maitreya-mesh-body-developer-kits.html

  1. Two issues with 4.1 and I can’t find anywhere to report them:

1 – Ankle fix turns itself off constantly so I purchased a separate one that actually stays on.
2 – The heels of the feet are entirely covered in an ugly white splotch that only boots or closed-in shoes can hide.

    1. Hi rvw. if you can send me a picture of your feet we can have a look at it and see if I can help you fix it- as I don’t have any feet issues. the best way to report problems I find is to send a detailed note card with pictures to the creator/ customer service rep, another good way is to join their support group and ask in there. But I will help you out if I can. 🙂
ps. I hardly ever use the “ankle lock” which was provided in the update.

ugly white splotch – sounds like its to do with your skin

      1. Hi Scarlett! And aaaack! I’m so sorry I couldn’t reply sooner – rl has kept me run off my feet (no pun intended). Will contact Maitreya with a snapshot and see what they say, but now you mention it, it could well be the skin, which wasn’t a problem with the previous version of Maitreya.

  2. Thank you for another informative blog. Where else could I get that kind of info written in such a perfect way? I have a project that I’m just now working on, and I’ve been on the look out for such information.
